INDEPENDENT HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATION OF UZBEKISTAN.
The oldest human rights organization in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. It arose during the years of Gorbachev’s perestroika in 1989, becoming the first human rights organization in the region created after the Second World War.
For many years, the organization sought official recognition, and finally in 2001, with the assistance of the US authorities, the organization was officially registered with the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
Since then, the Independent Organization for Human Rights of Uzbekistan has organized and protected tens of thousands of citizens of Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries.
The purpose and objectives of the organization is to protect human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, gender equality, the rights of minorities and refugees, and temporarily displaced persons.
At present, the organization, having many years of experience behind it, continues to provide assistance to those who need to protect their rights and freedoms, and at the same time, the organization is at the forefront of the struggle for democracy and secular values.
The organization is also starting this year an educational project with the aim of attracting the younger generation to the human rights movement, in particular, a project is being developed to create the first interactive museum of Human Rights in Central Asia.
The organization is also embarking on new projects, in particular projects to help refugees, victims of domestic violence, poverty, women’s rights, and so on.
The Independent Organization for Human Rights of Uzbekistan has its offices in all regions of Uzbekistan and is open to cooperation with colleagues from other countries.

Ўзбекистон инсон ҳуқуқлари мустақил ташкилоти.
Ўзбекистон ва Марказий Осиёдаги энг қадимги инсон ҳуқуқлари ташкилоти. У 1989 йилда Горбачёвнинг қайта қуриш йилларида вужудга келди ва Иккинчи Жаҳон урушидан кейин минтақадаги биринчи инсон ҳуқуқлари ташкилотига айланди.
Ташкилот узоқ йиллар давомида расман тан олинишига интилди ва ниҳоят, 2001 йилда AҚШ расмийлари кўмагида ташкилот Ўзбекистон Aдлия вазирлигида расман рўйхатдан ўтказилди.
Ўшандан бери Ўзбекистон Инсон ҳуқуқлари бўйича мустақил ташкилоти Ўзбекистон ва Марказий Осиё давлатларининг ўн минглаб фуқароларини ҳимоя қилди.
Ташкилотнинг мақсади ва вазифалари инсон ҳуқуқлари, сўз эркинлиги, виждон эркинлиги, гендер тенглиги, озчиликлар ва қочқинлар, вақтинчалик кўчирилганлар ҳуқуқларини ҳимоя қилишдир.
Aйни пайтда ташкилот орқасида кўп йиллик тажрибага эга бўлиб, ўз ҳуқуқ ва эркинликларини ҳимоя қилишга муҳтожларга ёрдам кўрсатишни давом эттирмоқда, шу билан бирга, ташкилот демократия ва дунёвий қадриятлар учун курашда етакчилик қилмоқда.
Ташкилот бу йил ёш авлодни инсон ҳуқуқлари ҳаракатига жалб этиш мақсадида маърифий лойиҳани ҳам бошлаб юбормоқда, хусусан, Марказий Осиёда биринчи бўлиб Инсон ҳуқуқлари интерактив музейини ташкил этиш лойиҳаси ишлаб чиқилмоқда.
Ташкилот, шунингдек, янги лойиҳалар, хусусан, қочқинлар, оилавий зўравонлик қурбонлари, қашшоқларга, аёллар ҳуқуқлари ва ҳоказоларга ёрдам бериш лойиҳаларини амалга оширишга киришмоқда.
Ўзбекистон Инсон ҳуқуқлари бўйича мустақил ташкилоти Ўзбекистоннинг барча ҳудудларида ўз ваколатхоналарига эга ва бошқа мамлакатлардаги ҳамкасблари билан ҳамкорлик қилиш учун очиқ.
Ташкилотнинг 100 дан ортиқ фаол аъзолари бор. Шунингдек, ташкилот Ўзбекистон бўйлаб юзлаб кўнгиллиларга эга.
